We took the train and coach through the area my paternal grandmother (Agnes Calderwood, did you know her?) immigrated from. The cattle country didn't look all that different from where her family ended up. In the "old country," near Cullybackey, they farmed for someone else. In Alberta they farmed for themselves on land they bought. Which is, of course, a whole other story.
