Day 12 NaPoWriMo - Little poem you can't hold it all

Today's prompt from NaPoWriMo: "write a poem that addresses itself or some aspect of its self (i.e., “Dear Poem,” or “what are my quatrains up to?”; “Couplet, come with me . . .”) " Turns out I'm not done with writing about my dad.

Little poem you can't hold it all

Simply try to capture the back

bacon he fried each morning

you put between rye, layered

with peanut butter, washed

down with milk and then

biked to junior high fortified

to face the day.

Whatever it might hold.
